Work Placement: States Sport Centre (Teen Matters and Sexuality)

The event was held at The States Sport Center at Homebush, the event was about teen matters, relationships and sexuality, schools throughout Sydney where invited and the catholic school association organised the event. The entertainment girls and Burwood high students where to usher 2,000 teenagers and 21 schools to their seats in a safe and professional order, we worked for seven hours with breaks in between. I learn't that you must stay calm and patient with dealing with large amounts of people and that when performing task and roles you must act in a positive and professional way as many people are watching and commenting on your behavior. Our teamwork was 100% however communication could have improved. Overall the day was very successful and enjoyable, it was good to learn about other roles such as OHS in the entertainment industry. If i were to rate the day it would be 9 out of 10.

Entertainment!

JMC ACADEMY SHOWCASE 16th!
On tuesday the entertainment class went to the Enmore Theatre at Newton, to see the JMC students in third year, who put on a visual and sound concert.

Audio 4/5
Vision 3/5
Lighting 5/5
Staging 4/5
Venue 5/5

The audio throughtout the concert was very good, besides the fact that throughout some of the videos they played the audio was crackly, etc. The Vision was good, though the screen was to high up and strained your neck when you would watch the projector. Lighting was a 5/5, the colours and different styles of lighting made the show interesting and entertaining. Staging was also pretty good but the cords could have been a hazard. All up the concert the show was really good and everyone had a really good day :)
